Certification

Certification is a procedure by which an independent certifying agency issues a document stating that a product is in conformity with specific requirements regarding a norm or standard.

In order to better meet the specificities of certain markets, Baccarat has chosen to make its products conform to geographical zone requirements: Europe (products have the CEI label), United States (UL label), and Japan (JETRO label).

Do Baccarat light fixtures heat up?

Baccarat light fixtures do not give off more heat than traditional lamps.
The use of LEDs, which are becoming more and more common in our light fixtures, ensure a decrease in emitted heat as well as lower energy consumption.

Are Baccarat light fixtures fragile?

Handling crystal requires a delicate touch, especially during installation and cleaning. However, once the light fixtures have been installed, damage risk is lowered.

Why are Baccarat light fixtures more expensive than those of the competition?

Baccarat chandeliers are made entirely by hand by Baccarat artisans who draw on knowledge honed over one hundred years. The purity of Baccarat crystal captures and refracts light like no other crystal. Baccarat chandeliers have exclusive shapes and designs that are not found elsewhere. Baccarat chandeliers bring a refined sense of style to any room.

How can I hang my chandelier?

With a closed ring screw that can be opened to hang the chandelier. The anchoring point must be strong enough to support two to three times the weight of the chandelier.

Can the chandelier be glued directly to the ceiling?

Yes, if so, the crystal collar will hide the closed ring screw.
It is also possible to hang the chandelier with a chain (ordered separately). In such a case, the anchoring point is either hidden by a metallic canopy or by a sleeve – a piece of fabric that covers the chain (not supplied by Baccarat).

Does Baccarat ship?

Yes, worldwide. Transportation will be billed separately.

Does Baccarat ensure installation / assembly?

Yes, with a specialized team.
We will provide you with an estimate that details installation conditions and takes into account the site at which the item is to be installed.

May I change the colour of certain crystal pieces?

Yes. Please contact the Designer Services Department to explain the details of your special order.

May I change the size of certain pieces (crystal or metal parts)?

Why is Baccarat crystal better quality than Bohemian crystal?

If I send you a sketch, will you be able to make the piece in crystal?

We are able to do a feasibility study on special orders. Advice regarding potential modifications to be made to the design to optimize the final result may be proffered. Additionally, we manage all manufacturing stages: from making the molds to installing your creation on the building site.

Do you have 3D files of your products?

3D files are currently under development and a simplified version will enable viewing of very precise examples of the product’s volume in situ.
